Last week´s announcement of the Warm Homes Plan is a fantastic and ambitious upgrade for 5 million homes, tripling the number of UK homes with solar panels by 2030.
This is a massive and welcome policy boost. Equally, the announcement identifies the challenge of making these technologies affordable and accessible in a “fragmented” system. The big picture is that simply adding more static panels isn’t always the answer — with constrained grid connections, we need to maximise every kilowatt-hour generated to truly lower bills.

This is exactly where Corrie Energy Partners steps in.
Our Latitude40 solar tracker is designed to tackle this efficiency gap head-on. By increasing energy yield by ~30% compared to static panels, we can:
> Generate more when consumers need it most: delivering higher output in the mornings and evenings.
> Generate more seasonally: providing a better seasonal match to heat pump demand—crucial as the new plan drives heat pump adoption.
> Unlock value for social housing: helping projects upgrade entire streets or estates at once, a key pillar of the new government strategy.
We are therefore delighted to be selected for the Climate Innovation Platform. Working with University of Birmingham, Energy Systems Catapult, Sustainable Ventures, and HSBC gives us the validation and commercial support to ensure British innovation plays a leading role in this national upgrade.
The Warm Homes Plan sets the target. With the CIP providing the support, we are here to help you deliver better solutions.
Let’s get to work!
